Dermatoid : Resembling skin; skinlike.
Dermatologist : One who discourses on the skin and its diseases; one versed in dermatology.
Dermatology : The science which treats of the skin, its structure, functions, and diseases.
Dermatopathic : Of or pertaining to skin diseases, or their cure.
Dermatophyte : A vegetable parasite, infesting the skin.
Dermestes : A genus of coleopterous insects, the larvae of which feed animal substances. They are very destructive to dries meats, skins, woolens, and furs. The most common species is D. lardarius, known as the bacon beetle.
Dermestoid : Pertaining to or resembling the genus Dermestes.
Dermic : Relating to the derm or skin. ;; Pertaining to the dermis; dermal.
Dermis : The deep sensitive layer of the skin beneath the scarfskin or epidermis; -- called also true skin, derm, derma, corium, cutis, and enderon. See Skin, and Illust. in Appendix.
Dermobranchiata : A group of nudibranch mollusks without special gills.
