Eddoes : The tubers of Colocasia antiquorum. See Taro.
Eddy : A current of air or water running back, or in a direction contrary to the main current. ;; A current of water or air moving in a circular direction; a whirlpool. ;; To move as an eddy, or as in an eddy; to move in a circle. ;; To collect as into an eddy.
Eddy current : An induced electric current circulating wholly within a mass of metal; -- called also Foucault current.
Eddy kite : A quadrilateral, tailless kite, with convex surfaces exposed to the wind. This kite was extensively used by Eddy in his famous meteorological experiments. It is now generally superseded by the box kite.

Edelweiss : A little, perennial, white, woolly plant (Leontopodium alpinum), growing at high elevations in the Alps.
Edema : Same as oedema.
Edematose : Same as oedematous.
Edematous : Alt. of Edematose
Eden : The garden where Adam and Eve first dwelt; hence, a delightful region or residence.
