Esculent : Suitable to be used by man for food; eatable; edible; as, esculent plants; esculent fish. ;; Anything that is fit for eating; that which may be safely eaten by man.
Esculic : Pertaining to, or obtained from, the horse-chestnut; as, esculic acid.
Esculin : A glucoside obtained from the Aesculus hippocastanum, or horse-chestnut, and characterized by its fine blue fluorescent solutions.
Escurial : A palace and mausoleum of the kinds of Spain, being a vast and wonderful structure about twenty-five miles northwest of Madrid.
Escutcheon : The surface, usually a shield, upon which bearings are marshaled and displayed. The surface of the escutcheon is called the field, the upper part is called the chief, and the lower part the base (see Chiff, and Field.). Escutcheoned : Having an escutcheon; furnished with a coat of arms or ensign.
Ese : Ease; pleasure.
Esemplastic : Shaped into one; tending to, or formative into, unity.
Esential : Existence; being. ;; That which is essential; first or constituent principle; as, the essentials or religion.
Esentially : In an essential manner or degree; in an indispensable degree; really; as, essentially different.
