Goatfish : A fish of the genus Upeneus, inhabiting the Gulf of Mexico. It is allied to the surmullet.

The European species is also goat-milker, goat owl, goat chaffer, fern owl, night hawk, nightjar, night churr, churr-owl, gnat hawk, and dorhawk.
